Pedestrian Master Plan

In 2000 the Austin City Council approved the Pedestrian Master Plan, which sets forth policies that will encourage walking as a viable mode of transportation.   The plan is scheduled to appear before the City Council for adoption in November or December 2007.  An executive summary and a decision matrix used to prioritize sidewalk construction can be viewed below.

02/02/07--Day Labor Site Recommendations
The Day Labor Community Advisory Committee has made its recommendation to city management regarding five sites under consideration for a new day labor center in south Austin.  Their report outlining the pro and cons for each potential site, as well as summarizing community input given to the Advisory Committee for each of these sites, is available by clicking on the icon below:
